I am a psychologist, yoga teacher, and assistant editor of Think: A Journal of Poetry, Fiction and Essays. I graduated from the MFA Poetry Program at Western Colorado University, where I studied metrical verse-craft with Julie Kane, David Rothman, and Ernest Hilbert. My chapbook, The Stones Keep Watch, is under contract to be published by Kelsay Books under the imprint, Alabaster Leaves. My poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Amethyst Review, Appalachia, Ariel Chart, Autumn Sky, Asses of Parnassus, Boulder Weekly, Buddhist Poetry Review, Blue Unicorn, Colorado Sun, Copperfield Review, Eastern Forms, Ekphrastic Review, Heron Clan Anthology, IthacaLit, Lighten Up Online, The Light, The Literary Nest, The Lyric, Mountains Talking, Muse India, New Verse News, The Orchards, Peacock Journal, Road Not Taken, Urthona Journal of Buddhism, Verse-Virtual, and Westward Quarterly, and Yoga Samachar. One of my poems was nominated for a Pushcart prize, another won The Lyric’s 2017 Fall Quarterly Award, an award in the 2020 Soul-Making Keats Literary Competition, and Special Recognition in the 2019 and 2020 Helen Schaible International Sonnet Contests. My book reviews have appeared in Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, and Raintown Review. I live in Boulder, Colorado and enjoy hiking in the mountains.
